Refund policy

1. Return Window

We accept returns within 30 days of confirmed delivery.

Return requests must be submitted within this 30-day window. After 30 days, items are not eligible for return.

Once an RMA is issued, the return must be shipped within 10 calendar days. An RMA does not extend the original return window unless Sunday Spec agrees otherwise in writing.


 

2. Return Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and uninstalled

  • In original packaging

  • Complete with all hardware, components, and documentation

  • In resalable condition

Items that have been installed, mounted, modified, or damaged are not eligible for return.

Test-fit items may be eligible if:

  • No signs of installation or wear are present, and

  • Photos are provided for approval prior to return authorization.


 

3. Return Authorization (RMA Required)

All returns require prior approval and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

To request a return, customers must:

  1. Contact Sunday Spec within 30 days of delivery.

  2. Provide order number.

  3. Provide clear photos of product condition and packaging.

Returns sent without an approved RMA may be refused.


 

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return:

  • Used items

  • Clearance items

  • Custom-painted or custom-finished products

  • Opened gaskets, seals, or fluid-related items

  • Wheels that have been mounted

  • Apparel that has been worn, washed, or is missing tags

  • Products damaged due to installation or misuse


 

5. Electrical & Electronic Components

Electrical items (including modules, sensors, lighting, tuning devices, and similar components) are returnable only if:

  • Unused

  • Uninstalled

  • In original sealed packaging

Installed or programmed electronic items are not eligible for return.


 

6. Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Customers are responsible for:

  • All return shipping costs

  • Proper packaging to prevent damage in transit

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For freight (LTL) shipments:

  • Customer is responsible for return freight

  • Round-trip freight charges may be deducted from the refund

Customers should not refuse delivery solely because they changed their mind or ordered the wrong product. Unauthorized refusal may result in outbound freight, return freight, storage, redelivery, and related carrier fees being deducted from the refund. This does not apply when refusal was authorized by Sunday Spec because of visible shipping damage or an incorrect shipment.


 

7. Restocking Fees

Unless otherwise stated during return authorization, approved non-defective returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Certain products or manufacturers may impose a higher fee or may not permit returns.

Restocking fees may apply depending on:

  • Product category

  • Vendor policies

  • Condition of returned item

If items are returned opened or incomplete:

  • Additional fees may apply to replace missing components.

  • Refund amounts may be reduced accordingly.

Sunday Spec reserves the right to deny returns that:

  • Show signs of installation

  • Are returned damaged

  • Are missing components


 

8. Incorrectly Ordered Items

Customers are responsible for verifying product compatibility prior to purchase.

If a customer orders an incorrect item:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping.

  • Restocking fees may apply.

If Sunday Spec provided documented guidance that resulted in an incorrect purchase, we will work with the customer to resolve the issue, which may include covering return shipping or waiving restocking fees.

If Sunday Spec shipped an item different from the item ordered, Sunday Spec will provide return instructions and cover reasonable return shipping costs. No restocking fee will apply.


 

9. Exchanges

Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis.

In most cases, customers may:

  1. Return the original item (subject to approval), and

  2. Place a new order for the correct item.


 

10. Inspection & Approval

All returned products are inspected upon receipt.

Refund eligibility is determined after inspection confirms:

  • Item condition

  • Completeness

  • Compliance with this policy

If a returned item does not meet eligibility requirements, the return may be denied or subject to additional fees.

If a returned product is rejected, Sunday Spec will notify the customer. The customer may be responsible for the cost of shipping the product back to them. Products that remain unclaimed for more than 30 days after notice may be considered abandoned to the extent permitted by law.


 

11. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued:

  • To the original payment method, or

  • As store credit (if requested)

Refunds include applicable sales tax associated with the refundable merchandise amount. Original shipping, handling, expedited shipping, freight, installation, programming, and other services are non-refundable unless the return resulted from an error by Sunday Spec.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.

Financial institutions may require additional time to post funds.


 

12. Manufacturer Defects & Damage

Visible shipping damage, shortages, or incorrect items should be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Reporting promptly helps us preserve available carrier claims. Failure to report within 48 hours may limit our ability to pursue a shipping claim but does not eliminate any rights that cannot legally be waived.

If an item arrives damaged or defective, customers should:

  • Notify Sunday Spec within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide photos of packaging and product

Manufacturer defects are handled in accordance with manufacturer warranty policies.
